The FUUSN Operations Council held its fall meeting of our society’s Committee Chairs on November 2. This group gathers twice a year to discuss with each other, a variety of topics that range from updating our website, informing other committee chairs about events being planned, to discussing issues on which feedback from others attending the meeting is encouraged.

With so many activities happening at FUUSN, we sometimes overlook the importance of coordinating the many opportunities that are presented to our community. It is good to take some time to hear about what others are doing, challenges they are facing, and programs that are being considered. To that end, this meeting was very helpful. There was a great exchange of ideas, lots of collaboration between attendees, and offers to help with specific tasks.
Some of the topics that were discussed include: communications, the Legacy Circle’s Wake Now Our Vision campaign, social action, over 60s events, and resumption of recognition plaques for Legacy Circle donations.

The spring meeting is scheduled for March 9 from 12:00 -2:00 pm. All are welcome. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to the Operations Council Chairs, and let them know if there’s an item you would like to add to the agenda. -Sharon Sisskind, Operations Council
