Share Your Life Events at FUSN

FUSN offers a comfortable and flexible setting for members to celebrate life events or commemorate transitions. The staff can help families make arrangements for appropriate services.

Weddings

Since there is no standard UU wedding service, each ceremony is developed by the couple and the minister to best reflect the couple's beliefs, hopes, and relationship.

Members may use the sanctuary and parish hall for weddings with no fee. Contact the minister directly to arrange his/her participation. Reserve space through the FUSN office. Nonmembers may rent the facilities.

Memorial Services

Services for loved ones who have died tend to be personal, private occasions. FUSN members may honor the individual by working with the minister to develop a unique service. There is no standard UU memorial service or funeral.

Members may use FUSN space for memorial services with no fee. Contact the minister directly to arrange his/her participation. Contact the FUSN office to reserve space. Nonmembers may rent the facilities.

Child Dedications

FUSN families may choose to have their infants or young adopted children recognized in a child dedication. Dedications are usually held during a Sunday service. The minister presides over the ceremony, which celebrates the new life and calls on the congregation to support the child's spiritual path.

N.B. Although members are not assessed any fee for these personal services, many choose to offer donations on the occasions of weddings or memorial services.
